Is JioHotstar free for Jio users?

As of February 2025, JioHotstar—a collaboration between JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar—offers complimentary access to select Jio users under specific conditions:

  • Existing Subscribers: Users with active subscriptions to Disney+ Hotstar or JioCinema will automatically receive a free JioHotstar subscription for the remaining duration of their current plans.
  • New Prepaid Plans: Jio has introduced a ₹949 prepaid plan that includes a free JioHotstar subscription for three months.

For users without an existing subscription or those not opting for the ₹949 prepaid plan, JioHotstar offers standard subscription plans starting at ₹149.

Please note that JioHotstar is currently free to access for all users; however, this may change as the company is likely to adopt a hybrid model where users can initially watch content for free before being required to subscribe to a plan.
