As of February 11, 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the following 15-member squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025:
- Rohit Sharma (Captain)
- Shubman Gill (Vice-Captain)
- Virat Kohli
- Shreyas Iyer
- KL Rahul (Wicketkeeper)
- Rishabh Pant (Wicketkeeper)
- Hardik Pandya
- Axar Patel
- Washington Sundar
- Kuldeep Yadav
- Harshit Rana
- Mohammed Shami

- Varun Chakaravarthy
Notably the speed bowler Jasprit Bumrah had been initially named in the squad, but was later exiled because of an injury to his back that he suffered during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy January. Harshit Rana was selected in his place due to his outstanding performances during the ODI series against England where he took six wickets in the three first matches.
Furthermore the spinner Varun Chakaravarthy is added to the squad, taking over Yashasvi Jaiswal who was originally a part of the squad that was formed for the first time. Jaiswal is listed as an untravelling substitute along with Mohammed Siraj and Shivam Dube.
India’s games in the tournament are set to take place in Dubai due to the conflict among India as well as Pakistan.
The team is led by Gautam Gambhir.
